OpenAGPS is a project aiming to create a open-source assisted-GNSS system, compatible with existing devices using SUPL. It aims to offer a alternative to the most commonly used SUPL services (namely supl.google.com), which are all closed-source, and run by large corporations. It aims to use crowd-sourced GNSS information, and to be as private as possible.

We are still very early in development, however we aim to post as regularly as possible here regarding updates to the project, so stay tuned! You can find our source code on Gitlab, in the openagps organisation and our project planboard here.

If you don’t know, this project is funded through NGI Mobifree Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission’s Next Generation Internet program. Learn more at the NLnet project page. Many thanks go to the very nice peeps over there! Hosting for this project is geneously sponsored by Leaf Cloud.
